Our customer’s client reported a major safety incident when a mine employee stepped in a large drill hole plug and broke their leg.
Our Solution
Plug The Hole Safely
We designed a custom lid for large drill hole plug sizes. The CAD was sent out for FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to ensure the lids could withstand a maximum human load safely. Once this was determined and approved, molds were commissioned and the parts were produced in a high visibility plastic to further enhance mine safety.
