The customer needed to convert a seed metering system from metal into plastic and ensure parts hit the minimum test specifications perfectly every time.
Our Solution
A Testing Unit That Delivers Perfectly
After four years of technical development and DFM collaboration, we produced a lean one-piece flow work cell with multiple secondary operations that brought together 16 injection molded plastic parts and 30 sub-supplied components.
To meet the 100% quality standard, we designed and built (in-house) an end-of-line testing unit that ensured specific air pressure, max and average torque of a component as well as angle of movement on two other components. For the final step, a military-grade barcode is applied so if there is any failure in the field, the test data can be pulled up immediately.
