We are the first Clean Room (ISO Class 7 (10,000)) molder in Western Canada!

Due to business growth, we’re recruiting a Tool Room Technician to join our production team. The Tool Room Technician plays a key role in supporting the production schedule by ensuring tools and secondary equipment is production ready when needed. The Technician will also work within the ISO quality system (ISO 9000 and ISO 13485).  The position is Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. A complete orientation and onboarding program will be provided to the successful candidate.

Ideally You’re Someone Who Brings:

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing / tool-making environment, with good mechanical aptitude; understanding engineering drawings is second nature to you;
  • Experience in programming and machining utilizing Master-Cam software would be a definite asset;
  • Clear written and verbal communication that ensures both safety and accuracy in all aspects of job performance;
  • The ability and willingness to learn procedures for upholding the company’s quality and safety standards;
  • Natural organization skills and the ability to work productively with minimal supervision, respecting deadlines and responding appropriately when urgency is needed;
  • A vehicle for transportation to and from work (free parking is provided).

What You’ll Be Doing Everyday:

  • Maintain and repair existing molds and auxiliary equipment.
  • Manufacture fixtures and gauges for quality control.
  • Complete customer driven modifications to existing molds.
  • Support the operations group to ensure continuity of production.
  • Communicate with many levels of the organization: Lead Toolmaker, Molding Technicians, Team Leaders, Quality Manager.
  • Work with molding technicians to troubleshoot injection- molding process to determine cause of defects.
  • While you will have clearly defined responsibilities, the company’s work environment is strongly team based, and you’ll be expected to develop strong peer relationships for the benefit of the entire team.
